Custom Water Meter Glass
Water meter glass is the transparent window above a mechanical dial, digital display or optical reading target. It must preserve legibility while sealing against the meter body and tolerating outdoor exposure, cleaning, condensation and handling.
China Lampoptics can produce round, rectangular, stepped, domed and drawing-defined glass windows. The correct design depends on the reading method, clear aperture, gasket seat, retainer and required surface treatment.

For camera or optical-sensor reading, the meter must be tested through the installed glass. A window that appears clear to the eye can still shift focus, add reflections or reduce contrast for the reader.
Sealing and Outdoor Durability

Can logos or masks be added to the glass?
Coating is available; printing or other marking requires separate confirmation. Any artwork, registration datum and durability requirement must be controlled.
Is anti-reflective coating available?
Coating is available as a project process. Wavelength, angle, reflection target and environmental durability must be stated before feasibility is confirmed.
Can the window be chemically tempered?
Lampoptics has chemical tempering capability. Suitability depends on material, size, edge and required optical quality.
How is readability verified?
Test the installed meter with the intended human, camera or sensor reader under the defined lighting and viewing geometry.
